Seven years later, Grisha joined the Restorationists after he received information which revealed that Fay was taken by the Marleyan officer who escorted her away that day and was eaten alive by dogs.
However, Grisha explained that the Marley men were lying about Fay and when he began to say that he thought they had her killed, his father yelled at him for saying so, Grisha then returned this yelling by saying that he and Fay did nothing wrong. Later, their father reeducated Grisha on their ancestors' evil past. While their mother was overcome with sorrow, their father smiled at the men and told them he would better educate his son on the issue of leaving their town. Grisha deduced that the men were lying and in no way was Fay's death her own fault. The officers who encountered the children met with their parents and told them that Fay was safely left at the border and that it was Fay's own fault for leaving in the first place. The next day, Fay's mutilated body was found by the riverbank. However, Fay was not present when Grisha returned home after his beating. After offering to take the burden for both of them, one of the men beat up Grisha while the other took Fay away. The men intended to punish Grisha and Fay for trespassing and leaving the internment zone without an exit permit. While searching for the airship, Fay and Grisha were hazed by the citizens who saw their armbands and were called the impurities of their region.Īt the end of their search for the airship, Fay and Grisha found two Marleyan officers slacking off on a hill. When the airship flew over their city limits wall, they followed it to the higher end of town, leaving their town without permission. HistoryĪfter leaving their home, Fay and her brother Grisha stared up at the sky and saw an airship, which fascinated them. She saw the world with whimsy and delight, looking at the airship in the sky in awe. She was an innocent child but oftentimes was dependent on her older brother to protect her. She wore a flowing dress, a white scarf, and a coat, along with her respective armband.įay did not have much experience with the world at such a young age, needing Grisha to push her out of her comfort zones. On December 4th, 2021, Twitter user discovered that the "nerdy kid" in the meme is most likely a 2004 picture of him at Lego League.ĭidn't believe it at first, but had short, brown hair that barely reached her shoulders with messy bangs and dark eyes. In the following days, wholesome versions of the meme in which bodybuilders provided guidance and advice to the teenager gained large popularity online on Twitter, Instagram, iFunny and other social networks (examples shown below). The post received over 12,800 retweets and 51,300 likes in three weeks (shown below). On October 18th, 2019, Twitter user posted the version of the meme in which the teenager asked for guidance at the gym, with the bodybuilders being willing to help. Starting on October 16th, more Twitter users posted memes where the teenager offered poorly expressed arguments in contrast to well-expressed opinions offered by the bodybuilders (examples shown below). Some examples of the format imagined two or more bodybuilders discussing various topics for example, anime series. In the following months, more users posted memes which imagining muscular men expressing thoughts and ideas which are either wholesome or/and can be attributed to anime fans, gamers, avid readers, furries or members of other communities rarely associated with bodybuilding (examples shown below, center and right).
On February 21st, 2019, Twitter user made the first viral meme based on an image of an unidentified bodybuilder using a laptop, with the meme imagining him as a person who would set an image of an anime girl as a profile picture (shown below, left). The tweet received over 6,400 retweets and 25,500 likes in three weeks.
The panel introduced a bespectacled male teenager sitting in front of the laptop, which circulated online at least since 2007 and has been previously used in Wow, This Is Literally Me meme format and other memes (shown below). On October 16th, 2019, Twitter user posted the earliest meme which featured the addition of an additional panel to the Buff Guys Typing on Laptops format. A variation of Buff Guys Typing on Laptops, the spin-off format gained spread on Twitter and other social media in the second half of October 2019. Flex lewis, mike o'hearn, bodybuilders, miyathequeen, bitchassbowie, jasthelass Aboutīuff Guys Help Out Nerdy Kid refers to a three- and four-panel meme formats in which several bodybuilders, usually Flex Lewis, Mike O'Hearn and another unidentified muscular man, advise a male teenager sitting in front of a laptop on various subjects.
